Pension funds given an extra year

Pension funds will have an extra year to transition to the new rules. Minister Schouten promised this to the Senate. The minister is now aiming for 1 January 2028 as the latest date. Previously, this date was 1 January 2027.

We have already started our preparations

From 1 July 2023 onwards, employer and employee organisations will begin to make concrete agreements on the transition to a new pension scheme for PME. We have already started our preparations. PME is expected to switch to the new pension rules on 1 January 2026.

Nothing changes for you now

For the time being, nothing will change for you. Changes will not take place until the new pension scheme comes into effect, which is expected to be 1 January 2026. We will keep you informed of any developments. You will hear well in advance what this means for you.
