When will your pension start?
By default, your pension starts on the first day of the month in which you get AOW. It is, however, up to you to decide when you actually retire.
The standard pension age is your AOW age
In our pension scheme, the standard starting point of your pension is the first of the month in which you get your AOW. This is the so-called pension age.
- Six months prior to your AOW age, you will be notified to apply for your pension.

You can retire earlier or later
- You can start your pension from the age of 55.
- You must retire 5 years after first receiving AOW at the latest.
