The new pension rules were to take effect on 1 January 2023. However, the House of Representatives needs more time to discuss the Future of Pensions Act. Minister Carola Schouten announced that the new pension rules will probably apply from 1 July 2023.

The new pension rules are currently being discussed in the House of Representatives. Subsequently, the bill will also go through the Senate.

We continue with our preparations

Once the new pension rules are in place, employers and trade unions will make agreements about the new pension scheme. We will help them with it. We had already started our preparations and will continue with them. Your new pension scheme will take effect on 1 January 2027 at the latest. PME intends to have your new pension scheme start earlier.

Nothing changes for you now

For the time being, nothing will change for you. Changes will not take place until the new pension scheme comes into effect. We will, of course, keep you informed of any developments in the meantime.

Would you like to know what has been done so far and what the schedule looks like? Then take a look at our theme page on the new pension system. Here, you can also follow all developments. That way, you will stay informed.
